Crowd Services collaborated with a leading group in the energy sector to provide a comprehensive service of technical assistance and logistics management on a national scale. The project focused on the maintenance and support of a vast technological park consisting of 65,000 telemetry systems and devices, distributed among approximately 90,000 end users across Italy. This intervention allowed for the optimization of plant management and ensured operational continuity, contributing to the overall efficiency improvement of the system.

Project objectives

The main objective was to ensure the correct functioning of the telemetry devices and support the technical infrastructure of the end users. Through a customized approach and organized management, we focused on providing technical assistance solutions and hardware maintenance, as well as optimizing the logistics of the devices through a system of centralized and peripheral warehouses.

Implemented solutions

The project included two main components:

Technical assistance and hardware maintenance

  • Regular and extraordinary maintenance of telemetry devices to ensure their full operability.
  • Quick interventions to resolve any malfunctions or anomalies, minimizing downtime for the end users.
  • Technical support across the national territory, with highly qualified personnel capable of responding promptly.

Logistics management of the devices

  • Organization and management of the central warehouse to ensure the availability of spare parts and new equipment.
  • Management of peripheral warehouses to optimize the distribution of devices, reducing response times and logistics costs.
  • Implementation of a tracking system to monitor the movement and status of the plants, ensuring efficient and transparent management.

Managing such a vast and distributed technological park posed several logistical and technical challenges:

  1. Geographic extent: the distribution of end users across the national territory required impeccable logistical coordination and a widespread network of qualified technicians.
  2. High volume of devices: the maintenance of 65,000 systems necessitated an organized system to ensure that each device received the necessary assistance.
  3. Resource optimization: the implementation of a centralized and decentralized logistical system allowed for balancing efficiency and timeliness.

Results achieved
